Pool Readings
It is important to maintain the correct water balances at all times. Chlorine performs two functions in our pool water, it kills harmful bacteria in the water and burns up the dead organic matter. A correct chlorine level (1-3ppm) allows for continual protection against additional contaminants as they are introduced into the pool.
pH is the measure of the acidity and the basicity of your pool water. A correct pH level (7.2 – 7.6) allows for maximum efficacy of your sanitiser, it prevents damage to the lining and fittings in your pool and also increases swimmer comfort.
Total Alkalinity (TA) measures the amount of alkaline material in your pool water. A correct TA level (80ppm – 120ppm) prevents pH bounce and corrosion of pool fittings and equipment.
Chlorine (Cl) 1 - 3ppm
pH 7.2 - 7.6
Total Alkalinity (TA) 80 - 120ppm
Stabiliser (Cyanuric Acid - Cys) <50ppm
Copper (Cu)/ Iron (Fe) =0
