Algaecide Products

Algae can thrive everywhere — living in sunshine, on vegetation, in the air and in the soil. But most of all it loves your pool. Algae is constantly blown into the pool by winds, dust storms and rain. Your water becomes cloudy, discolored and eventually slimy and smelly. HTH® Algaecides provide an effective way to combat algae and prevent future algae from forming — keeping your pool healthy and clean for your daily enjoyment.

	HTH® Ultra Clear HTH® Ultra Clear is a preventative algaecide that kills algae. It is available in 2 litres and 1 litre Micro and contains a built-in flocculant to trap fine particles and add sparkle to your pool. Directions for use: Test your pH using your HTH® Quick Test Strips, maintain your pH between 7.2 – 7.6 Backwash the filter With the pump on the filter position, add 1 bottle of HTH® Ultra Clear or HTH® Ultra Clear Micro to the pool The following morning, brush down the walls of the pool In the case of severe algae, shock treat in the early evening with 3 x the normal dosage of HTH® Classic or 1 sachet of HTH® Shock It® Continue with normal filtration and chlorination Add 1 bottle of HTH® Ultra Clear to your monthly maintenance routine to keep algae at bay
	HTH®Green Algaecide HTH® Green Algaecide kills green algae on pool walls. It is available in 2litres and 1litre Micro and contains a built-in flocculant to trap fine particles and add sparkle to your pool. Directions for use: Test your pH using your HTH® Quick Test Strips, maintain your pH between 7.2 – 7.6 Backwash the filter With the pump on the filter position, add 1 bottle of HTH® Green Algaecide or HTH® Green Algaecide Micro to the pool The following morning, brush down the walls of the pool In the case of severe algae, shock treat in the early evening with 3 x the normal dosage of HTH® Classic or 1 sachet of HTH® Shock It® Continue with normal filtration and chlorination
	HTH® All-in-1 Algaecide HTH® All-in-1 Algaecide is the strongest algaecide. It kills green, black and mustard algae. It is available in 2 litres and 1 litre Micro and contains a built-in clarifier that adds sparkle to your water. HTH® All-in-1 Algaecide also prevents algae re-growth for a month. Directions for use: Test your pH using your HTH® Quick Test Strips, maintain your pH between 7.2 – 7.6 Vigorously scrub the algae infested area with an HTH® Algae Brush Backwash the filter In the early evening, shock treat with 3 x the normal dose of HTH® Classic or 1 sachet of HTH® Shock It® The following morning, place the pump on circulate/re-circulate/bypass position and add 1 bottle of HTH® All-in-1 Algaecide or HTH® All-in-1 Algaecide Micro around the sides of the pool After 6 hours brush down the walls of the pool and place the pump back to the filter position Continue with normal filtration and chlorination To prevent algae maintain pH level at 7.2 – 7.6 and a chlorine at 1 – 3ppm
	HTH® Black Algaecide Micro HTH® Black Algaecide Micro kills green and black algae. Directions for use: Test your pH using your HTH® Quick Test Strips, maintain your pH between 7.2 – 7.6 Vigorously scrub the algae infested area with an HTH® Algae Brush Backwash the filter In the early evening, shock treat with 3 x the normal dose of HTH® Classic or 1 sachet of HTH® Shock It® The following morning, place the pump on circulate/re-circulate/bypass position and add 1 bottle of HTH® Black Algaecide Micro around the sides of the pool After 6 hours brush down the walls of the pool and place the pump back to the filter position Continue with normal filtration and chlorination To prevent algae maintain pH level at 7.2 – 7.6 and a chlorine at 1 – 3ppm
	HTH® Pace Algaecide HTH® Pace Algaecide is used for the treatment of green algae in swimming pools. Directions for use: Test your pH using your HTH® Quick Test Strips, maintain your pH between 7.2 – 7.6 Vogorously scrub the algae infested area with a nylon brush Shock treat in the early evening with 3 x the normal dosage of HTH® Classic or 1 sachet of HTH® Shock It Place the filter on the circulate/ re-circulate or bypass position After 2 hours add 1 bottle of Pace Algaecide to the pool The following morning, brush down the walls of the pool and place the pump back onto the filter position Continue with normal filtration and chlorination Shock treat again in the evening if necessary Back
